With over 17 years of experience in the banking industry, I am a seasoned leader and strategist in digital solutions, channel innovation, data analytics, and market research. As the Head of Digital Solutions at Stanbic IBTC, a leading financial services provider in Nigeria, I am responsible for formulating the strategy for implementing, enabling, maintaining, securing, and entrenching digital platforms and functionality for clients and stakeholders across various segments and markets.

I have a proven track record of delivering innovative and impactful digital solutions that enhance customer experience, retention, and loyalty, as well as drive business growth, revenue, and efficiency. I have successfully led and collaborated with cross-functional teams and partners to develop and launch new products, features, and services, such as mobile banking, USSD banking, QR code payments, and biometric authentication. I have also leveraged my expertise in behavioral economics, business research, and corporate communication to conduct market analysis, identify customer needs and preferences, and design value propositions and life journeys that meet and exceed their expectations. I hold a Doctor of Business Administration and a Master of Applied Business Research from SBS Swiss Business School, as well as other relevant certifications and degrees. Currently the Group Head, Digital & Retail Payments Group in FCMB, Temitope Onibaniyi is a Card and Digital Payments Specialist with about 2 decades experience in Card Management, Channels Deployment, Product Development, Digital Platform Management and Merchant Acceptance Business. He joined FCMB in 2018 and later assumed the position of Head of Cards – managing the bank’s Card portfolio with strong commercial orientation.

 

Temitope started his Banking career in 2005 with the defunct Omega Bank; joined Access Bank in 2006 and later moved to Skye Bank (Polaris Bank) in 2015. While in Access Bank, he served in different capacities and was a member of the pioneer team that laid the foundation and framework of what has evolved into the “Access Bank Digital Banking” today.

 

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Second-Class Upper Division) from the University of Ilorin and a Distinction in MBA with specialization in ‘Advanced AI & The Future of Automation’ from Nexford University, Washington DC, USA. He is a Certified Cards and Payments Professional from the Retail Banking Academy (RBA), London.

Oscar is passionate about disruptive innovative technology and how it can be utilised in revolutionizing the payment ecosystem to improve lives globally. He serves as the Head of Products and Partnerships at Globus Bank, where he brings over a decade experience in products innovation and partnerships in the financial industry. His role entails partnering with digital technology companies in driving business commercials, profitability, growth, marketing, sales and distribution of products and services across the globe.

 

He is an experienced certified Technical Senior Product Manager that holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Nottingham Business School, United Kingdom which serves as a solid foundation for his work in his B2C and B2Bdigital business.

As an executive in the Committee of E-Business Industry Heads (CeBIH) he is saddled with the responsibility of driving Publicity and Advocacy of E-Business products and services in Nigeria and diaspora.

Skilled at working in diverse multicultural settings and managing multiple interfaces having worked across Sub -saharan Africa, Europe and Asia. My key strengths lie in my ability to provide strategic leadership for evolving business segments and provide a shared vision for enhanced business delivery.

Gbolabo is a result-driven finance professional with over 16+ years experience in developing, implementing and driving digital payment solutions across Africa. He currently heads the payment and acceptance business at the United Bank for Africa where he is responsible for overseeing and growing the business across 20 countries in Africa.

 

He has worked with multiple financial institutions in different capacities and roles and has successfully managed key payment products across Cards, USSD, Mobile Banking, Web Payment, Online Banking, Chat Banking and API Banking.

 

He is a graduate of the University of Lagos and also possesses a Masters degree from the Warwick Business School in the UK. Gbolabo is a Certified Chartered Accountant with the renowned UK professional accounting body ACCA and has undergone numerous specialist training in card payments at both local and international institutions.
